    Fields of study: Our research interests address four main issues: (1) development of functional materials and other functional materials from solid wastes; (2) application of nano-materials in solid wastes disposal; (3) recovery of valuable materials from solid wastes; (4) analysis and detoxification of hazardous substances in various solid wastes. Our particular interests focus on waste electric and electronic equipments (WEEE), municipal solid wastes (MSW) and bio-wastes. The techniques applied in our studies include supercritical water oxidation, supercritical fluid extraction, supercritical synthesis, photocatalytic reduction, pyrovacuum process, photoelectric synthesis, hydrothermal synthesis and sintering synthesis.
